Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown unit position requiring at least one year of cardiac telemetry experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit
• Care for patients with chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, and syncope
• Support patients undergoing echocardiograms, stress tests, diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization
• Care for patients undergoing Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR procedures
• Unit may overflow to general Med/Surg or non-cardiac patients as needed
• 13-week assignment on night shift, 18:45-07:15
• Priority floating to Med/Surg when needed

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Deliver direct patient care and support unit staffing stabilization efforts
• May be asked to help precept and train new hires, including RN Residents
• High degree of engagement and willingness to mentor others is valued
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply and could affect pay rate
