Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Telemetry unit position requiring the ability to read tele strips and a minimum of 2 years' unit and 2 years' travel experience.

Details

Work in a 41-bed Medical Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
Care for a patient population including cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psych, substance use disorder, GU, and GI cases
Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on evenings and nights
Straight night shift schedule with every other weekend requirement
Utilizes Epic EMR for charting
Floating required to applicable units as needed
Free on-site parking available

Requirements

Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
Current BLS certification (AHA only)
Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in one location required
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a traveler required
Skilled in cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpreting tele strips
Experience with cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen required
Epic EMR charting experience required
Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips for a diverse patient population
Administer cardiac drips and manage high-flow oxygen therapy as needed
Utilize TR bands as part of cardiac care protocols
Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston are accepted at a reduced rate compared to standard travel pay
