- Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4

Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate degree or nursing certificate
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience
- At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Recent experience in an observation, cardiac stepdown, intermediate care, medical-surgical, or telemetry setting
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms; successful completion of an EKG examination is required during compliance
- EPIC charting experience
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, resilience, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care for observation and intermediate-care patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and promptly identify changes in patient condition
- Care for patients with conditions including CHF, COPD, anemia, cellulitis, dehydration, and urologic or gastrointestinal diagnoses
- Manage patients receiving cardiac and medical infusions, including Cardizem, nitroglycerin, insulin, and heparin, within established protocols
- Complete thorough nursing assessments, medication administration, care planning, documentation, admissions, and discharges
- Support patients with stays of up to approximately 48 hours while maintaining efficient transitions of care
- Float to inpatient units as needed based on patient-care demands
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations
- Communicate effectively with providers, ancillary departments, patients, and families to promote a positive patient-care experience
- Adapt to changing census and workflow needs while maintaining high standards of patient safety and professionalism
