Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry night shift position requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior cardiac telemetry experience.

Details

• 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry unit
• Patients present with chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, and syncope
• Patients requiring echocardiograms, stress tests, and diagnostic or interventional heart catheterization
• Specialized cardiac procedures include Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR
• Unit overflows to general Med/Surg and non-cardiac patients as needed
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length
• First to float to Med/Surg when needed

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the AHA
• Current ACLS certification from the AHA
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for patients with significant cardiac history or related disease processes
• Role includes helping stabilize staffing as the unit rebuilds its core team
• Willingness to precept and train new hires, including RN Residents, is highly valued
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
