    Own the Day: Territory Growth & Route Operations Specialist

    Picture your day starting with a quick route review in the CRM, a coffee-fueled check-in with key customers, and a plan to open new accounts before lunch. By midday, you’ve optimized collection routes for fuel savings and on-time service, confirmed vehicle maintenance schedules, and lined up a set of high-potential cold calls. In the afternoon, you pop by an active job site, ensure we’re meeting DOT and safety standards, and log every interaction, follow-up, and appointment into Salesforce. You close the day knowing your book of business is stronger, your routes are tighter, and your customers are delighted.

    What You’ll Do

    • Build and deepen relationships with existing customers, delivering exceptional service.
    • Drive new revenue through cold calling, networking, and targeted lead generation campaigns.
    • Prioritize your day using activity and performance-based sales objectives.
    • Plan and optimize collection routes for efficiency, fuel savings, and reliable on-time service.
    • Ensure vehicles and equipment are serviced and maintained on schedule.
    • Maintain operational records: driver logs, route performance, and maintenance schedules.
    • Monitor compliance with DOT regulations, company safety policies, and environmental laws.
    • Capture sales interactions, activities, follow-ups, and appointments in CRM/Salesforce.

    Must-Haves

    • High school diploma or equivalent (2+ years in a business environment is a plus).
    • Ability to locally drive a 26,000 lb truck (CDL NOT Required).
    • Comfort operating heavy equipment from the driver’s cabin.
    • Light mechanical aptitude.
    • Pass DOT required assessments.
    • Have a valid driver’s license.

    Preferred Experience

    • Background in Route Sales, Industrial Sales, or Construction.
    • Experience in waste management or the transportation industry.
    • Proficiency with route management or fleet tracking software.
    • Working knowledge of DOT rules, route logistics, and equipment safety.
    • Comfort with apps, social media, Microsoft Office, and handheld technology.

    Physical Expectations

    • Work includes exposure to outdoor conditions.
    • Light physical activity; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
