We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and legal support within an in-house legal department. This role supports a team of attorneys and legal professionals and requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. This is a temporary assignment for approximately six (6) months, with the possibility of extension or earlier conclusion based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, edit, format, and file legal documents in both electronic and traditional formats
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and track critical deadlines
Assist attorneys and legal staff with trial preparation and case management
Maintain and organize legal records in compliance with applicable records retention requirements
Coordinate correspondence and handle confidential information with discretion
Provide general administrative and clerical support to the legal team as needed
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a highly responsible legal administrative support role
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize workload effectively
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with standard office and legal document management software
High level of professionalism, reliability, and discretion
Education & Experience
Associate degree in business administration, legal office administration, or a related field preferred
6+ years of experience providing administrative and technical support within a legal office environment
Work Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, with some flexibility as needed
