Location: Irving, TX (Onsite, 5 Days Per Week)
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $63,000 - $72,000 Base Salary + 10% Bonus
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $70,000 - $80,000

A nationwide industry leader has an immediate full-time opportunity in Irving, TX for a Technology Procurement & IT Asset Management Specialist to join its Technology Operations organization.

This highly visible role is ideal for a professional who has directly owned the procurement, administration, tracking, and lifecycle management of technology assets, software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, telecom services, and technology vendor relationships. The successful candidate will work closely with IT, Finance, Legal, and business leadership to ensure technology assets, contracts, renewals, and vendor relationships are effectively managed across a growing multi-site environment.

This is not a transactional purchasing role. We are seeking someone who has personally managed technology procurement programs, software licensing, hardware asset inventories, vendor contracts, and technology asset visibility. The ideal candidate understands the complete lifecycle of technology assets from acquisition and deployment through refresh and retirement and can bring structure, process improvement, and accountability to a fast-growing organization.

Key Responsibilities Technology Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Own end-to-end procurement of technology products and services, including hardware, software, SaaS platforms, telecom services, subscriptions, and related technology solutions.
  • Lead vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, renewals, pricing reviews, and relationship management activities.
  • Negotiate favorable commercial terms, service levels, licensing agreements, and contract provisions.
  • Manage technology vendor relationships and hold suppliers accountable to contractual obligations and performance expectations.
  • Drive measurable cost savings through strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, contract optimization, and license rationalization efforts.
  • Resolve vendor disputes, billing issues, contract concerns, and service delivery challenges.
  • Maintain technology vendor records, contract documentation, renewal schedules, and procurement records.
IT Asset & Software License Lifecycle Management
  • Own the lifecycle management of technology assets from acquisition through deployment, tracking, refresh, reassignment, and retirement.
  • Manage software license inventories, assignments, renewals, compliance monitoring, and utilization tracking.
  • Maintain accurate visibility into hardware assets, software subscriptions, telecom services, and technology-related contractual obligations.
  • Ensure systems of record accurately reflect technology ownership, deployment status, renewal dates, licensing information, and vendor commitments.
  • Partner with IT leadership and support teams to improve governance, inventory accuracy, compliance, and reporting.
  • Assist with hardware refresh initiatives, software audits, and contract renewal planning.
Operations & Technology Support
  • Support operational initiatives across multiple business locations nationwide.
  • Coordinate vendor implementations, technology deployments, telecom initiatives, and operational improvement projects.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, HR, and operational leadership to ensure procurement and vendor activities align with business objectives.
  • Support operational continuity by maintaining effective vendor relationships and technology service delivery.
Process Improvement & Technology Enablement
  • Develop and improve scalable procurement, asset management, and vendor governance processes.
  • Transition manual tracking processes into technology-enabled systems of record.
  • Create and maintain documentation, workflows, and knowledge-base content using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Utilize AI-powered tools and automation technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify risks, inefficiencies, and process gaps while recommending practical, scalable solutions.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience owning technology procurement, IT asset management, software asset management, vendor management, technology operations, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated experience procuring IT hardware, software, SaaS platforms, cloud services, telecommunications services, or technology-related solutions.
  • Experience managing software licensing programs, renewals, entitlements, compliance requirements, and vendor agreements.
  • Proven success negotiating technology vendor contracts and managing vendor relationships.
  • Experience maintaining systems of record for technology assets, software licenses, contracts, and renewals.
  • Strong understanding of the technology asset lifecycle, including acquisition, deployment, tracking, refresh, and retirement.
  • Experience supporting a multi-site or geographically distributed business environment.
  • Strong organizational, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving, and sometimes ambiguous environment.

Highly Preferred Experience
Candidates with the following experience will receive strong consideration:
  • Direct ownership of technology procurement programs rather than administrative purchasing support.
  • Experience managing IT asset inventories across dozens of locations or a distributed workforce.
  • Vendor negotiations resulting in measurable cost savings, service improvements, or dispute resolution.
