About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Documentation Specialist & Trainer who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation and deliver engaging training sessions. This role sits at the intersection of technical writing, instructional design, and hands-on facilitation — ideal for someone who enjoys both crafting polished documentation and standing in front of a room (or a webcam) to teach.

You'll work closely with engineering, product, and customer success teams to create manuals, guides, knowledge base articles, and training curricula that help internal teams and external customers understand and use our products effectively.

What You'll Do

•      Write, edit, and maintain user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), how-to guides, release notes, and knowledge base articles

•      Design and deliver training programs (in-person, virtual, and self-paced) for employees, customers, or partners

•      Collaborate with subject matter experts (engineers, product managers, support teams) to gather accurate technical information

•      Develop training materials such as slide decks, quick-reference guides, videos, and e-learning modules

•      Maintain a consistent voice, style, and formatting standard across all documentation

•      Manage documentation version control and ensure content stays current with product updates

•      Gather feedback from learners and readers to continuously improve materials

•      Assess training effectiveness through quizzes, surveys, or hands-on evaluations

•      Support onboarding programs for new hires or new customers

Requirements

•      3+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation, instructional design, or corporate training

•      Strong writing skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information for varied audiences

•      Experience delivering training sessions (virtual and/or in-person)

•      Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Markdown, or similar)

•      Familiarity with e-learning/authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia, or similar)

•      Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

•      Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

•      Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

•      Experience in a SaaS, software, or technical product environment

•      Basic understanding of APIs, software workflows, or technical systems

•      Experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Workday Learning, Docebo, TalentLMS)

•      Familiarity with UX writing principles or content design

Benefits

•      Competitive salary

•      Health insurance

•      Paid time off and holidays
