    Position: Tax Senior Manager
    Location: Remote (California-based)

    A well-established mid-sized accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to join its team in a fully remote capacity. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex engagements, manage a talented tax team, and advise clients across various industries while maintaining work-life flexibility and professional growth.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
    • Conduct technical reviews and approvals of tax filings and governmental examinations.
    • Lead client relationships and ensure exceptional service delivery across assigned engagements.
    • Oversee and mentor tax staff in a remote environment; delegate tasks to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and workflow efficiency.
    • Serve as a technical expert on complex tax matters and industry-specific issues.
    • Represent clients before federal, state, and local tax authorities as necessary.
    • Contribute to recruiting, coaching, training, and career development initiatives for team members.
    • Support ongoing process and software improvements to enhance remote collaboration and productivity.
    • Assist in business development through client referrals, networking, and thought leadership.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation preferred.
    • Active CPA license and membership in good standing required.
    • 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
    • At least 2 years of experience representing clients before tax authorities.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience supervising tax professionals.
    • Strong knowledge of current federal, state, and local tax laws.
    • Proficiency in modern tax preparation, planning, and research software.
    • Ability to manage remote teams and maintain effective communication in a virtual environment.
    • Willingness to work extended hours during peak tax season.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional education 
    Compensation

    Compensation range: $180,000 – $215,000 annually, based on experience and credentials.
    Includes performance incentives, continuing education support, and comprehensive benefits.
