Position Overview

A highly respected and established public accounting firm in the Pittsburgh market is seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join its growing team.

This opportunity is ideal for a CPA who enjoys managing client relationships, overseeing complex tax engagements, and mentoring developing professionals. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and partnerships

  • Manage multiple client engagements from planning through completion

  • Provide tax planning, research, and advisory services

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

  • Communicate directly with clients regarding tax compliance and planning needs

  • Manage engagement timelines, workflow, and deliverables

  • Mentor, train, and develop junior tax professionals

  • Collaborate with partners and firm leadership

  • Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license required

  • 5+ years of public accounting experience

  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual, business, and partnership tax returns

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Leadership and mentoring experience preferred

  • Strong technical tax knowledge and attention to detail
