Job DetailsJob Details:
Our organization is in search of an experienced and dynamic Senior Tax Manager to join our engineering team. This unique opportunity is tailored for a professional with a strong background in corporate, partnership, individual, trusts and estate planning, and resolving complex tax issues. Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred. This role will require a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar position, with a proven track record of success.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for a myriad of duties, including but not limited to:
1. Overseeing and managing all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes.
2. Managing assets, liabilities, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
3. Documenting financial transactions by entering account information.
4. Recommending financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
5. Summarizing the current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
6. Substantiating financial transactions by auditing documents.
7. Guiding accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
8. Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
9. Securing financial information by completing database backups.
10. Maintaining financial security by following internal controls.
11. Preparing payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
12. Answering accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
13. Complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
14. Preparing special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
15. Maintaining customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Tax Manager position will have:
1. A law degree or CPA is required.
2. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a tax management role, preferably within healthcare industry.
3. Extensive knowledge and experience with tax planning, S Corp, high net worth, corporations, advisory, and tax accounting.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
9. Proficient in all areas of tax law and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax legislation.
10. Experience in healthcare is preferred, but not required.
