The Firm offers a full range of audit, accounting, taxation, advisory, and compliance services for a wide variety of businesses and their owners and serves a broad spectrum of securities funds, private-equity and venture capital firms, real estate firms, and high-net-worth and ultra high-net-worth individuals.
Responsibilities for Tax Manager:
Review complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities
Review complex U.S. and multi-state individual income tax returns, gift tax returns and estate tax returns
Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individuals and business entities
Effectively research and discuss tax and estate planning ideas, income tax matters, and potential tax problems with clients
Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates
Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquiries and tax notices
Perform extensive tax research for complex matters and prepare detailed reports, outlining findings and conclusions
Mentor and supervise staff through training, providing guidance and direction
Build trust with clients and foster collaboration and a team environment through open communication, responsiveness, and a commitment to excellent service
Qualifications for Tax Manager:
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Accounting or Taxation
CPA license
5+ years of tax experience, including recent experience at the manager-level
Flexible start date
Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments in a fast-paced accounting environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
