Location: Milwaukee, WI

Overview

A large national CPA and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Manager in Milwaukee to deliver tax, accounting and business advisory services and tax compliance to small business clients. You will work side-by-side with firm leadership and coach a group of talented staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax, accounting and advisory services to business clients
• Oversee accounting, bookkeeping and prepared or compiled financial statements
• Review and analyze accounting records and reporting and consult with clients on accounting and business matters
• Lead and plan client engagements and identify process efficiencies and internal control issues
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements
• Manage client relationships and resolve client issues
• Delegate and oversee team work, setting goals and deadlines
• Maintain current knowledge of local, state and federal tax law
• Help manage engagement staffing and billing/collections

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's or advanced degree desirable
• CPA, EA or law license
• 5+ years providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Strong management, analytical, organizational and communication skills
