Standard Job Description
Responsible for sustainment program support to include integration, comprehensive logistics, sustainment plan creation and support requirements for the lifecycle of the product. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. May serve as the point of contact for logistics with the customer and provide advice or training on system design and specifications. Functions as the internal design interface between support system, concepts and specifications. Performs analysis of the sustainment system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Other analysis may include interface studies, timeline and requirements allocation, effectiveness, verification, cost/risk, and supportability.
You will be the Weapons Sustainment Engineer for the Advanced Weapons Sustainment Team. Our team keeps the Joint Air-to Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) and Long Range Anti Surface Missile (LRASM) fleets mission ready by integrating weapons, managing logistics, and driving inventory and Government Furnished Property (GFP) processes.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Weapons Sustainment Engineer you will be responsible for depot level repair, modification, and refurbishment of JASSM and LRASM systems. You'll serve as the logistics liaison for customers, coordinate material repairs and upgrades, and provide data driven recommendations on spares procurement and sustainment planning.
