Primary Purpose:
Oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory control, and district-wide food service deliveries in order to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support for the Purchasing and Student Nutrition departments. This role requires operating refrigerated (reefer) and box trucks for approximately 60% of the workday to safely transport supplies, food, equipment, and materials across all Allen ISD campuses. The supervisor directly supports district efficiency by maintaining seamless inventory management, warehouse logistics, and the day-to-day work order system.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Forklift Certification (Preferred)
- Pallet Jack Certification (Preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Must possess and maintain a valid TX driver's license.
Experience:
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, freight handling, commercial delivery, or institutional logistics (school district experience preferred).
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Work Order & Logistics Management
- Process and execute daily work orders to ensure timely fulfillment of district requests, prioritizing student nutrition deliveries and campus supply needs.
- Coordinate and execute district-wide deliveries, transporting food products, supplies, and equipment safely to various schools and administrative facilities.
- Maintain detailed digital and physical records of completed work orders, tracking delivery signatures, dates, and item drops.
Warehouse Operations & Pallet Management
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying packing slips against physical inventory for accuracy and reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.
- Down stack received pallets carefully to sort, inspect, and organize items into their proper storage locations or designated staging areas.
- Build and stack secure pallets optimized for safe transit, ensuring proper weight distribution and product stability for district-wide delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to food safety standards and workplace safety regulations.
Physical Demands & Material Handling
- Load, unload, and transport materials, equipment, and campus supplies using warehouse tools such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and liftgates.
- Perform heavy physical labor, including the frequent ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy loads (typically up to 50 lbs or more) throughout the workday.
- Operate delivery vehicles safely under varying weather and traffic conditions, adhering to all state transportation laws and district safety policies.
Communication & Organization
- Demonstrate effective communication skills when interacting with campus staff, department heads, vendors, and team members to resolve delivery or inventory issues.
- Utilize strong organizational skills to manage time effectively, balance multiple delivery routes, and adapt quickly to shifting district priorities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises and directs Warehousemen in the receiving, stocking, picking, loading, and distribution of district materials and supplies, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and safely.
- Assigns daily work schedules, monitors productivity, provides training, and evaluates performance of Warehousemen to ensure compliance with district procedures and service expectations.
- Oversees Student Nutrition warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, inventory management, and distribution of food products and commodities, ensuring compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
- Train and onboard all delivery drivers on warehouse safety protocols, district route logistics, and vehicle operation standards.
- Ensure all warehousemen are forklift certified.
Customer Care Skills:
- Provide professional communication with students, parents, community members, staff and other professionals at all times.

Salary: Pay Grade OS06 $21.86 - $25.81 hourly rate, commensurate with experience according to District salary schedule.
