Job Description:

The Robbins College Advising Office is looking for the following skills & qualities in a work study student:

  • Reliability. Work-study students must be at work at their specified times.
  • Punctuality. Students must show up on time and leave at their designated time, not earlier.
  • Ability to follow directions. Active listening when instructions are given
  • Accuracy in work.
  • Pride in work.
  • Completion of assigned tasks in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude toward work.
  • Willingness to work. Ask if there is anything to be done rather than trying to avoid work.
  • Courtesy in answering the telephone or inquiries made in office by staff, students, visitors, etc. Always try to be of help.
  • Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of the department. All records, especially student records, are to be held in strict confidence.
  • Provide general office assistance and support
  • Greet clients and visitors with excellent customer service; answer inquiries and provide information
  • Maintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information
  • Assist with various projects, activities or tasks as needed
  • Ability to comply with Baylor University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
