Student Accounts Manager Coe College is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Student Accounts Manager. This role oversees all aspects of student accounts receivable, student accounts management, and the collection of Coe loan funds. Responsibilities also include managing online payment systems and providing general accounting support to the Controller and Business Office team. Essential Job Responsibilities: - Manage student accounts receivable, including billing, payments, adjustments, refunds, past-due balances, and other account activity.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students and families, providing responsive and professional service in person, by phone, and electronically regarding billing, payments, loans, and account questions.
- Research and resolve student account concerns in collaboration with Financial Aid and other campus offices.
- Generate and review student billing statements, accounts receivable aging reports, and other reports; reconcile student accounts to the general ledger and provide updates to Finance leadership.
- Review, post, and reconcile financial aid, private loans, outside scholarships, and other funds applied to student accounts.
- Manage collection activity for past-due accounts, including student communications and coordination with external collection agencies and loan servicers.
- Administer and reconcile Coe and applicable federal student loan programs, including required reporting, documentation, and compliance activities.
- Oversee online payment systems for student accounts and designated College programs.
- Serve as a School Certifying Official for Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits and administer the student tuition insurance process.
- Prepare required student account and loan-related journal entries, reconciliations, reports, and annual IRS Form 1098-T filings.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with FERPA, College policies, record-retention requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Develop, document, and maintain Student Accounts procedures; identify and implement process, system, and customer-service improvements.
- Assist the Controller with the annual external audit, FISAP reporting, policy review, and other financial reporting requirements.
- Assist with the supervision and training of student employees and perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or related field required.
- A minimum of three years of recent related work experience.
- Personal computer experience in word processing, spreadsheets and database programs – advanced level preferred.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to provide direct customer service including sensitive or challenging financial matters.

- Capacity to organize, manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities, deadlines, tasks and projects while dealing with interruptions and an uneven workload.
