The successfulcandidate will proactively anticipate future needs and trends todrive continuous innovation throughout the modernization lifecycle. A corefocus of this position is the ability to produce high-quality BusinessRequirements Documents (BRDs) and utilize AI capabilities to enhancethe accuracy and efficiency of business analysis work products.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Management & Analysis
- Identify, gather, and document businessrequirements for the MMIS Modernization initiative.
- Track requirement changes from originalproject scope through Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to finalmodule-specific requirements.
- Conduct JAD sessions involvingend-users, business analysts, software developers, and QA teams.
- Perform business systems planning, proceduraldevelopment, and implementation validation.
Documentation & Delivery
- Produce comprehensive Business RequirementsDocuments (BRDs) encompassing background, process flows, business requirements,and operational impacts.
- Manage business contingency planning andproblem-solving for complex system modernizations.
- Ensure all requirements align with theSoftware Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards.
AI Integration & Innovation
- Generate effective AI promptsto assist in the creation of MMIS business requirements,BRD sections, and test scenarios.
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracyand relevance, iteratively revising prompts to improve output quality.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong workingrelationships with stakeholders and clients.
- Act as a self-starter, managing the businessdomain independently to ensure all project goals are met.
Tools & Technology
- Project Management: Familiarity with TFS/ADO(Azure DevOps) and MS Project.
- Productivity: Strong proficiency inMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- AI Tools: Experience in AI prompt engineeringand response evaluation for professional work products.
Requirements
- Strong MMIS experience in a CLIENTenvironment (state agency perspective) rather than solely a vendor-moduleperspective.
- Demonstrated experience working withElectronic Visit Verification (EVV)
- Proven experience gathering requirements andplanning business systems for large-scale IT modernizations.
- In-depth knowledgeof the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) andBABOK.
- Demonstrated ability to write strong BUSINESS requirements(distinguished from functional or technical requirements).
- Forward-thinking mindset with a trackrecord of proactively identifying improvementopportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communicationskills.
- CBAP certification is a plus butnot required.
