Overview:

The Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Forecasting & Demand Planning supports the development, maintenance, and analysis of demand and labor forecasts that drive supply chain planning across Foot Locker’s North America network. This role focuses on producing accurate forecasts, monitoring performance, and translating demand signals into actionable insights that support inventory flow, DC capacity planning, and omnichannel fulfillment execution.

As a highly analytical individual contributor, the Senior Analyst partners closely with Forecasting leaders, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Operations, Merchandising, and Finance to support the S&OP / Integrated Business Planning process and enable data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities:

Demand & Supply Forecasting

  • Support the creation and maintenance of short- and mid-term demand forecasts using historical sales, seasonal trends, and business inputs.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy and performance metrics, identifying drivers of variance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in developing supply and capacity plans that balance inventory availability with operational and cost constraints.
  • Build and maintain scenario-based models to assess the impact of demand changes, promotions, or supply disruptions.

S&OP / Integrated Business Planning Support

  • Support the S&OP / IBP demand review process by preparing forecast inputs, reporting materials, and variance analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to incorporate open-to-buy plans, promotions, and assortment changes into forecast assumptions.
  • Help document assumptions, risks, and trade-offs to ensure alignment across planning stakeholders.

Labor & Capacity Planning

  • Support labor and staffing forecast development for DC and fulfillment operations based on projected inbound and outbound volumes.
  • Monitor capacity utilization trends and flag potential risks related to volume spikes or operational constraints.
  • Partner with operations and planning teams to help align workforce plans with volume expectations.

Reporting, Analytics & Communication

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into demand trends, forecast accuracy, and capacity outlooks.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for planning and operations stakeholders.
  • Support ad hoc analysis requests related to demand, supply, and scenario evaluation.

Process Improvement & Tools

  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting processes, data quality, and analytical efficiency.
  • Support enhancements to demand planning systems, tools, and data infrastructure in partnership with Technology teams.
  • Apply statistical forecasting techniques and best practices to improve planning accuracy over time.
Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain analytics, or a related role; retail experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using historical data to support forecasting and planning decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, lookup functions, complex formulas); Power BI experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with omnichannel retail or consumer goods supply chain operations.
  • Exposure to S&OP or Integrated Business Planning processes.

Benefits:

The annual base salary range is $76900-94700/yr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below:
