Sr. Accountant

We're partnering with a leading electrical contractor and conducting a search for a Senior Accountant. If you have construction accounting experience and want to join a strong, growth-oriented company, this could be a great opportunity.

Position Details:

Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Albany, NY (office-based)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage job cost accounting, WIP schedules, and project billing

• Support monthly close, financial reporting, and budgeting processes

• Work closely with Project Managers on project financials and forecasting

• Handle subcontractor compliance, including lien waivers and insurance tracking

• Assist with CPA firm audits and year-end financial preparation

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 4+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry (electrical contractor experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of job cost, percentage-of-completion accounting, and project billing
• Proficiency with construction accounting software (such as Viewpoint, Foundation, Sage 300, or similar)
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
