KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Special Events Sales Manager in Anaheim, California. 

**This is an on-site position**

SUMMARY:
The Special Events Sales Manager is responsible for proactively driving revenue through the sale of private and public special events across a portfolio of owned or operated venues and spaces. This role plays a critical part in achieving individual and team sales targets while supporting the Director of Sales through strategic prospecting, relationship management, and deal execution.

The position focuses on creating compelling, financially successful event opportunities while coordinating closely with internal departments to ensure operational alignment, consistency, and an exceptional client experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Proactively pitch, sell, and book private and special events across assigned venues and event space
  • Consistently meet or exceed individual and team sales goals
  • Execute outbound sales strategies, including cold calls, networking, client presentations, and market prospecting
  • Develop event recruitment strategies to expand programming across corporate, social, and public-facing events
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records, sales activity tracking, and account documentation
  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries via phone and electronic channels within established service timelines
  • Build and manage a targeted pipeline of client organizations within assigned market segments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and optimal financial outcomes for each event
  • Review industry trends and identify new business opportunities aligned with departmental growth objectives
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalize event contracts while maintaining organized records and databases
  • Validate space availability, manage event calendars, and communicate scheduling details to all relevant stakeholders
  • Conduct venue tours for prospective clients, planners, producers, and location scouts
  • Communicate contract details and event requirements to internal teams, including participation in recurring event planning meetings
  • Identify and cultivate key accounts, including preferred client and incentive program opportunities
  • Track account performance, manage pipelines, and forecast revenue accurately
  • Represent the organization at local and national industry events, trade shows, and professional associations as assigned
  • Assist with the development of sales collateral, marketing initiatives, and event sales campaigns
  • Monitor shifts in the sales and special events landscape and recommend strategic adjustments

  • Comfortable negotiating contracts and closing complex deals
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event sales, catering, and calendaring systems
  • Ability to delegate, prioritize, and engage effectively with clients, guests, and internal teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in special events sales, hospitality sales, or entertainment-related business development
  • Demonstrated success building profitable client relationships and driving event revenue
  • Knowledge of special event operations, guest experience standards, and market dynamics





Compensation depends on experience but base salary is typically $75-95k/year plus commissions.
