Social Events Manager

Our hotels bring people together. We're searching for a Social Events Manager capable of blending creativity, organization, and leadership to deliver memorable social events. Success in this position requires strategic planning, client-focused service, and effectiveteam management, ensuring that each event meets both client expectations and organizational goals.

A little taste of your day-to-day

  • Managing the planning and coordination of assigned weddings, social and corporate events from contract turnover through the conclusion of the event.
  • Serving as the primary hotel contact for clients, wedding and event planners, and event professionals throughout the planning process and on the day of event
  • Coordinating closely with Banquets, Culinary, Stewarding, Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, Security, and other departments to ensure all event requirements are understood and executed

What we need from you

  • Ideal candidate must be reliable, efficient, and highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail and a genuine commitment to providing outstanding luxury service.
  • Minimum of 3-year luxury hotel wedding, corporate and special event planning experience.
  • Passion for providing excellent client experiences and client engagement
  • Confidence in proactively preventing problems and ability to handle service recovery
  • Love of working in a fast-paced, motivated team with a desire for the next step in your career
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional administrative and time-management skills
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and learn new things

The salary range for this role is $36.00 to $39.00 per hour. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. This rate range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Washington, DC. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
