Overview:
Sentara Health Plans is hiring a Senior Sales and Account Specialist - Small Group and Mid-Market - Remote in South Hampton Roads (Norfolk, VA Beach, Suffolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth), Peninsula (Newport News., Yorktown and Hampton) or Northeast North Carolina (Moyock, Elizabeth City)!
Status: Full-time, permanent position (40 hours)
Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F
Location: Remote in South Hampton Roads (Norfolk, VA Beach, Suffolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth), Peninsula (Newport News, Yorktown and Hampton) or Northeast North Carolina (Moyock, Elizabeth City); With travel 1x a month to a Sentara office for in-person meetings, plus seasonal client and broker meetings/events.
Job responsibilities:
Support Sr. Sales Executives and/or Sr. Account Executives in producing and retaining profitable business within small and mid-sized segments. Interact with general agents, brokers, benefit administrators, members, and internal resources as needed to achieve profitable growth objectives.

Related years of experience includes Administrative, Business Acumen, Customer Relation, Health Insurance Industry or related field.
Experience in group insurance within the small group (5-50 eligible employees) and mid-market (51-150 eligible employees) segments is preferred.
