Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year

A bit about us:

We are an established national event rental and production company supporting large, complex events with temporary structures, tenting, flooring, staging, and related site solutions.

Our projects range from repeat annual events to high-production builds requiring detailed planning, technical coordination, and confident on-site leadership. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager who can guide these projects from the initial site survey through installation, event execution, and final strike.

This is not a traditional event-planning or desk-based project management position. It is a highly technical, operations-forward role for someone who understands how complex temporary installations are designed, planned, built, and safely executed.

You will serve as the technical authority in client and production meetings, recommending solutions that balance the customer’s vision with site conditions, safety requirements, constructability, scheduling, and profitability.

Why join us?
  • Inherit a multi-million-dollar portfolio of established, repeat events
  • Earn monthly commission and incentives in addition to a competitive base salary
  • Increase earnings through portfolio growth, smart project enhancements, and competitive wins
  • Work on complex, highly visible builds requiring real technical and operational expertise
  • Join a company with a promote-from-within culture
  • Receive relocation assistance if needed
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage beginning the first of the month following your hire date
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays
  • Company-paid life and disability insurance
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Employee discounts and additional perks
  • Relocation Assistance

Job Details

What You’ll Do
  • Lead customer discovery meetings and comprehensive site surveys
  • Evaluate access and egress, grade, ground conditions, underground and overhead utilities, equipment routes, venue restrictions, and installation requirements
  • Recommend tent and temporary-structure solutions, including frame tents, clearspan structures, raised or leveled flooring, anchoring and ballast concepts, and guest-flow improvements
  • Produce or coordinate scaled layouts and technical drawings using CAD, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or comparable tools
  • Coordinate stamped engineering drawings when required
  • Prepare and manage permitting and compliance documentation involving egress, occupant loads, flame certifications, clearances, and other venue or authority requirements
  • Partner with operations and warehouse leadership to plan labor, equipment, trucking, staging, sequencing, and production timelines
  • Coordinate with venues and outside vendors, including AV, staging, flooring, HVAC, temporary power, fencing, barricades, and utility providers
  • Provide on-site leadership during installations and strikes, directing sequencing, safety, quality, and real-time problem solving
  • Lead crews in the field through influence and technical direction, although this position has no direct reports
  • Manage security badging and access-clearance requirements for restricted sites
  • Maintain accurate project files, change documentation, production schedules, and job-costing information
  • Lead post-event debriefs and improve execution plans for future annual events
  • Identify enhancements and additional services that improve the customer experience while remaining buildable and protecting project margins
  • Strengthen existing accounts and help win new opportunities through technical credibility and dependable execution

Compensation
  • Base salary of $65,000–$85,000, depending on experience
  • Typical total compensation of $110,000–$140,000
  • Potential to exceed $150,000 in a breakout year
  • Sliding-scale commission and incentive structure with accelerators at higher performance levels
  • Relocation assistance

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in tenting, temporary structures, event-production installations, or a closely related technical field
  • Relevant backgrounds may include construction project management, staging and rigging, scaffolding and access, modular installations, exhibit or trade-show operations, or complex live-event production
  • Strong understanding of installation sequencing, logistics, crew coordination, equipment planning, and vendor management
  • Ability to produce or coordinate layouts using CAD, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or detailed scaled sketches
  • Experience coordinating engineering drawings and permitting or compliance packages
  • Ability to confidently explain technical recommendations to customers, venues, vendors, and internal teams
  • Calm and decisive approach to high-pressure situations, schedule changes, and on-site problems
  • Strong judgment regarding safety, constructability, customer expectations, and project profitability
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with operations, warehouse, sales, and production teams
  • Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation for travel between appointments and project sites
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 60 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

***Experience with restricted-access sites, security badging, OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training, forklifts, MEWPs, and other lift equipment is strongly preferred.

Schedule and Travel
This is a seasonal, field-connected position. Peak event season may require longer hours, travel, and occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends to support installations, strikes, and last-minute project changes.
The off-season generally provides greater schedule flexibility and opportunities for planned time away. The Project Manager must remain reachable for urgent customer, safety, or scheduling escalations, but this is not a requirement to remain on-site or on call 24/7.
