Senior Project Manager, Migration

Location: Boston, Massachusetts (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with vast migration experience for an urgent project. This role is critical for a large-scale data migration program with a key enterprise client. The successful candidate will manage the project from the current pilot and discovery phase through to production migration planning and execution, ensuring all objectives are met successfully. This position has the potential to extend into a multi-phase, multi-year program.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute project management fundamentals, including developing and maintaining the project plan, RAID charts, and burn-down reporting.
• Oversee the migration of approximately 3.3PB allocated data hosted on 14 VMax950F arrays across 6 sites.
• Coordinate and manage all migration events, including discovery, planning, pre/post-migration task tracking, and reporting.
• Manage pre/post-performance analysis and coordinate health checks on arrays.
• Lead event management for up to 18 migration events, with a target of up to 300TB per month.
• Coordinate with teams to recreate production SRDF replication for up to 10% of in-scope hosts as part of the migration.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in project management, specifically with large-scale data migrations.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies, including creating project plans, RAID logs, and status reporting.

Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with migration tools such as Open Replicator or SRDF.
• Understanding of migration to PowerMax arrays.
