Senior Paralegal - Washington, DC
Duration: 12 months, Onsite
We are seeking a Senior Paralegal with strong experience in appellate litigation and legal research.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
Support the preparation, organization, and maintenance of appellate briefs and related filings
Review briefs and appellate filings for formatting compliance, accuracy, and consistency
Perform citation checking, validate citation accuracy, and ensure Bluebook compliance
Conduct legal research on statutes, legal authorities, and relevant precedent
Assist appellate attorneys by identifying relevant authorities and supporting cite-checking requirements
Conduct quality control reviews of work product, legal references, citations, and filing materials
Use LexisNexis and internal brief repositories to support research and brief preparation
Required Skills:
At least two years of litigation paralegal experience or project experience
Strong experience supporting appellate litigation, including brief preparation and filing support
Proficiency with citation checking and Bluebook formatting requirements
Strong legal research skills
Experience using LexisNexis and legal research databases
Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
