    Senior Paralegal - San Diego, CA

    Duration: 12 months | Onsite

    Day-to-day Responsibilities:

    • Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
    • Organize and manage documents and data gathered during investigations and litigation.
    • Assist attorneys in evaluating complaints, conducting research, and preparing summaries of legal authorities.
    • Draft data and document requests, research reports, memoranda, correspondence, and pleadings.
    • Attend and participate in witness interviews and prepare detailed reports.
    • Use software applications like CaseView, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Excel for case management and document preparation.
    • Conduct research using automated legal research tools and public information databases.
    • Review and process incoming materials; obtain and analyze financial and statistical information.
    • Secure information from agencies and prepare draft legal documents for attorney review.
    • Maintain case files and reference materials, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
    • Support attorneys in the courtroom by preparing exhibit cross-references and screening documents.

    Required Skills:

    • At least two years of litigation paralegal experience or relevant project experience.
    • At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.
    • Sound knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Familiarity with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
    • Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging systems.
    • Knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
    • Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.

    Education:

    • Paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA accredited law school with at least one year of study completed.
    • Equivalent legal training or experience may be substituted.
