This role requires engagement with nearly all operational teams, including Operations, Field RME, Global Reliability, and Global Engineering. As a senior individual contributor, you must balance short-term solutions with long-term strategies, bringing organization to a complex and thorough business plan through prioritization and deliberate execution of high-impact initiatives.

If you are a dynamic and results-driven professional with a passion for flawless execution, project management, and customer satisfaction, we invite you to join our team and make a significant impact on our global operations.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
As a Senior Ops Engineer, your day will be hands-on and fast-paced. You will meet regularly with site teams to review tactical launch activities, assess readiness, and remove barriers in real time. You will own and drive Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) with regional maintenance managers and senior stakeholders, presenting data-driven updates on critical milestones including IOQ status, staffing, training, spare parts readiness, and equipment commissioning. You will maintain and drive launch project trackers end-to-end, ensuring every milestone, owner, and commitment date is accurate, visible, and actioned. Your week will include coordinating across GES, Operations Engineering, Construction, L&D, and Field RME to keep Greenfield launches, REI projects, and technology deployments on track. When risks emerge, you will surface them immediately through structured escalations with clear owners and resolution timelines. Every interaction is an opportunity to raise the quality bar - whether you are reviewing a site"s launch readiness data, holding a cross-functional team accountable to a committed date, or refining the WBR template to better serve leadership decision-making.
About the team
The ELM team oversees the transfer of assets (MHE, Base Build, Emerging Tech) to the RME teams, working closely with Project Delivery Teams (e.g., GES, TES, MSP, AR) across Customer Fulfillment (CF), Amazon Transportation Systems (ATS), Amazon Logistics (AMZL), and Amazon Grocery Logistics (AGL). Supporting regions including North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, Australia, and engaging for standardization with India/Japan, ELM"s mission is to deliver a seamless, efficient building experience from the RME perspective, starting from project launch. This involves key objectives like minimizing downtime, increasing equipment availability, and ensuring RME technician readiness. The team also aims to achieve perfect maintenance accessibility, make initial spare parts available at the right cost, and coordinate external maintenance services, focusing on aligning people, processes, and resources to create a "perfect" building experience from the RME standpoint.
