This role supports strategic marketing initiatives by developing compelling pursuit responses, marketing collateral, and visual narratives aligned with HMC's mission and values.The ideal candidate is a proactive storyteller, process-oriented, and comfortable partnering with internal teams to help accelerate market growth and firm differentiation.This position is located in HMC's Ontario, California or Los Angeles, California office. The position requires 3 days in the office and the ability to work from home Mondays and Fridays.ResponsibilitiesDevelop deadline-driven proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and award submissionsCreate content for SOQs, proposals, SF330 forms, marketing collateral, and related correspondenceWork with project teams to plan, develop, and produce proposal/presentation materials.Write, edit, research, and quality-check content from various sources, compile into cohesive deliverablesBuild compelling and easy-to-read submittals aligned with brand standardsConduct interviews and research to develop accurate and engaging marketing copyCoordinate consultant materials; tailor project profiles and graphic layouts for customized submissionsManage digital and hard-copy submittalsGather research on competitors, market trends, clients, and relevant corporate experienceMaintain and archive marketing assets (projects, resumes, reports) across systems including Deltek, MangoApps, and Axomic OpenAssetTrack and update leads in Deltek, IMS, and relevant platformsCreate and update marketing materials including process sheets, project lists, resumes, and market segment collateralMaintain marketing matrices, project lists, and statistical recordsDevelop graphics, brochures, and qualifications materialsDevelop presentation decks for interviews and conferencesCreate leave-behind and promotional materials to support business developmentOther duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism, architecture, or related field (highly preferred)2+ years of A/E/C marketing experience required3+ years in a professional or marketing support roleProficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesignWorking knowledge of Deltek and Axomic OpenAssetFamiliarity with platforms such as MangoApps and MiroPreferred experience with Adobe Creative Suite tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, Lightroom, After Effects)Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skillsExcellent organization, time management, and attention to detailStrong proofreading abilitiesAble to collaborate effectively with diverse business partnersSelf-starter with the ability to take ownership of tasks and see them throughAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentFlexible, creative problem-solver with a strong work ethicUnderstanding of basic marketing principlesDedicated to providing excellent client serviceThe salary range for this position is $52,858 - $74,314The actual salary offered for this position will vary depending on multiple factors including the candidate's qualification, education, position knowledge, work experience, skills, ability, work location, and internal incumbent compensation for similar roles. We do not anticipate individuals hired into this position will start at or near the top half of the range listed; the decision will be based on each individual case.
