Job Details
Our client is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join their GP Services team, focusing on the financial operations and accounting associated with the firm's equity compensation partnerships. This is best understood as an analyst-level role rather than a traditional accounting position - ideal for a quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and wants hands-on exposure to capital markets activity.
The team owns cash management, treasury, and banking functions, including capital calls, distributions, allocations, wires, and reconciliations. You'll work directly with loan facility platforms, prepare general ledger reconciliations and journal entries, support monthly close, and help produce partner reporting (currently quarterly, transitioning to monthly).
Key Responsibilities
Understand loan facility platforms and facilitate setup and maintenance for participants
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries, including posting and reconciling daily cash, monthly close, preparing wires, and recording statistical attributes
Support finance and accounting processes tied to monthly partner reporting
Interface with internal and external parties to answer inquiries accurately and professionally
Collaborate across teams to ensure timely, accurate information
Prepare financial analysis and assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
3-4 years of relevant experience; background in alternative investments, private equity, partnership accounting, fund operations, or fund administration is a strong plus
Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex lookups (V-lookup, X-lookup, H-lookup)
Comfort working with CRM applications, general ledgers, financial reporting systems, and large databases
Strong attention to detail, self-motivated and able to work independently and on a team
Positive client-service mindset with strong interpersonal skills and discretion handling sensitive information
Available to work in the Fort Worth office on a Hybrid schedule
