Description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant-Remote. Summary: This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, overseeing the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting key financial initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience and a solid understanding of financial reporting. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in a growing organization within the financial services space. The successful candidate will be a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys supporting a dynamic, growth-oriented business. Key Responsibilities:

Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
Prepare and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and management reports
Maintain general ledger activities, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure accuracy of accounts receivable and accounts payable
Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and strategic initiatives
Assist with lender reporting, loan portfolio tracking, and financing-related accounting activities

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

Experience with QuickBooks
Experience within financial services, lending, consumer finance, healthcare finance, or loan servicing environments
Experience with loan accounting, interest income recognition, financing programs, or receivables portfolios

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
