Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This Senior Accountant opportunity offers the chance to join a highly respected and established law firm that has built a strong reputation for excellence, professionalism, and long-term employee retention. The firm provides a collaborative environment where the Senior Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of the business while working closely with firm leadership.

As a Senior Accountant, you'll own a broad range of accounting responsibilities, gaining visibility across the entire accounting function rather than being confined to one area. The Senior Accountant will have direct involvement in financial reporting, trust accounting, cash management, budgeting support, and operational accounting while helping maintain the firm's strong financial foundation.

This opportunity is ideal for a Senior Accountant who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and partnering with leadership in a professional services environment that values accuracy, accountability, and long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation as the Senior Accountant

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, client billing, cash management, and general ledger activities as the Senior Accountant

  • Prepare financial reports, account analyses, budgeting support, and management reporting as the Senior Accountant

  • Support trust accounting and trust reconciliation activities while ensuring compliance with legal industry requirements as the Senior Accountant

  • Maintain internal controls, support audits and tax preparation, and partner with leadership on process improvements as the Senior Accountant

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of the full accounting cycle

  • Law firm, professional services, or trust accounting experience strongly preferred

What You'll Gain as the Senior Accountant

  • High visibility with firm leadership and decision-makers

  • Ownership of multiple accounting functions with broad operational exposure

  • Stable organization with exceptional employee tenure and retention

  • Comprehensive benefits package, paid parking, and generous PTO

  • Opportunity to deepen expertise within legal and professional services accounting

Who Thrives as the Senior Accountant

The ideal Senior Accountant is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a professional environment. This Senior Accountant enjoys taking ownership of accounting operations, solving problems independently, and serving as a trusted financial resource to leadership. Candidates with trust accounting experience will stand out, though strong full-cycle accountants looking to learn the legal industry are encouraged to apply.
