    Description

    The Used Truck Sales Manager will play a pivotal part in selling used trucks while maintaining appropriate levels of gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction. This role manages a team of Used Truck Sales Reps, ensuring that they are well trained and have what they need to succeed.

    KeyResponsibilities

    • Source and purchase pre-owned trucks through auctions, fleets, and trade-in appraisals
    • Manage the valuation, pricing, and selling of used truck packages
    • Partner with the service department to minimize repair costs and turnaround time
    • Formulate annual and monthly business plans, sales objectives, and expense budgets with executive leadership
    • Recruit, onboard, and train new sales representatives
    • Ensure staff maintains active licensing and CDL credentials
    • Manage dealership lead systems, prospect tracking tools, and client follow-up protocols
    • Resolve high-level customer service escalations and maintain positive public relations
    • Submit expense reports
    • Complete employee performance reviews on time
    •  Travel as required to attend auctions, meet clients, and inspect vehicles

    Qualifications

    • 3 to 5 years of commercial truck sales experience
    • Background in inventory buying or team leadership preferred
    • Established network of industry contacts, including dealers, auctioneers, and fleet managers
    • Vast knowledge of Class 8 semi-tractor specifications, market valuations, and commercial applications
    • Ability to manage budgets and analyze store performance metrics
    • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Valid driver's license (CDL highly preferred)
