This is an exempt level position.

Position Summary:

The Sales Manager will work alongside ADM Logistics' Sales team and be responsible for sales outreach and relationship building in order to bring on new leads and prospective customers in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will promote ADM Logistics' capabilities and service and be able to sell in both face to face and digital customer environments. This position will also work with our account team to onboard customers and ensure a high level of customer service is achieved. Success in this role is judged by leads generated, customer metrics and overall customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager will report to the Senior Sales Manager and be based in Decatur, IL.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prospective customer lead generation, follow up and outreach.
  • Work with Account Team to onboard new customer accounts and maintain relationship.
  • Proactively follow up with leads to the point of quoting business.
  • Ability to produce leads from web, phone, trade shows and internal referrals.
  • Work to understand customer's business and provide customized solutions relative to what ADM Logistics can offer.
  • Address and support customer challenges, opportunities and threats while considering their tolerance for transit time, cost, risk and market conditions
  • Elicit customer feedback with periodic customer check ins.
  • Establish and meet individual goals and objectives relating to all aspect of the position
  • Quoting customer business
  • Provide regular activity reports on prospecting and strategy
  • Utilizing Salesforce and other analytical, web based tools as required
  • Maintains relationship with all onboarded customers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Implementation of strategy for lead generation including cold calling
  • Participation in meetings as required with regular activity reports submitted
  • Awareness and ability to discuss the freight market to prospective and existing customers

Job Requirements:

  • 3 or more years of sales experience.
  • Self-motivated and outgoing individual with ability to work independently and within a larger sales group
  • Proactive, competitive mentality with the desire to grow.
  • Strong organizational, negotiating and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to run a meeting, sales call or presentation
  • Knowledge of brokerage, third party logistics and freight forwarding is helpful
  • Microsoft Office / Salesforce experience is preferred
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Travel as needed to current and prospective customers. (15% minimum)
  • A college degree is preferred

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$54,600.00 - $102,000.00
