    Description

    Job Title: Remote - Medical Support Assistant (MSA)
    No. of Positions / Candidates Required: 57 FTE total
    Site: Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center

    Location: 1700 North Wheeling Street, Aurora, CO 80045
    Specialty: Community Care scheduling and consult management
    Place of Work (City/State): Remote. Candidate must physically reside and work within 50 miles of any listed facility.
    Duration: 1 year contract with the possibility of another year extension.
    Shift Schedule:
    • Day shift only: 8-hour shift within business hours, Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
    How Many Shifts Needed per Month:Not specified. Positions are full-time FTE, Monday Friday.
    Credentialing / Onboarding Time: 6 weeks
    Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent
    Experience Needed:
    • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience
    • Medical scheduling, VA, or community care experience preferred
    Special Skills:
    • Typing speed of 50+ WPM
    • Basic medical terminology and computer skills
    • Strong written and verbal English
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
    Responsibilities:
    • Schedule, track, and follow up on patient appointments
    • Process community care consults and coordinate care with outside providers
    • Update patient demographics, insurance, and medical records in VA systems
    • Handle calls, voicemails, faxes, mail, and patient inquiries
    • Maintain clinic schedules, no-shows, and access reports
    • Support providers and care teams with scheduling and administrative needs
    • Resolve patient concerns and scheduling issues
    • Maintain HIPAA, privacy, IT security, and regulatory compliance
    • Meet productivity and quality standards
    • Work independently and resolve scheduling or administrative issues
