Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM – 4:45 PM | Saturdays and Sundays are on-call only | Evening call coverage available Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM (no overnight required) | 30-minute on-call response time required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care within a dedicated Spine & Total Joint operating room environment
- Staff and support 8–11 operating rooms on a daily basis alongside a multidisciplinary surgical team
- Perform scrub and/or circulating duties for spine fusion, ALIF, and related spine procedures as well as total joint replacement surgeries
- Collaborate effectively with charge nurses, unit secretaries, surgeons, and ancillary staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care
- Respond to on-call needs within the required 30-minute response window
- Document patient care accurately using the facility's electronic medical record system
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Colorado or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital Operating Room experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Demonstrated experience with spine and joint surgical cases
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Joint scrub experience highly preferred
- Prior experience with Meditech or CPN electronic medical record systems
- Experience in a high-volume or specialized orthopedic/spine surgical environment
