    Job Summary:

Cox Service is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Service Projects Group (SPG). This role is responsible for the successful execution of multiple concurrent HVAC service and small-to-mid-sized projects, from turnover through closeout.
The ideal candidate is a disciplined, organized project leader who can balance field coordination, customer communication, and financial performance, while operating effectively in a fast-paced, union mechanical service environment.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage multiple service projects simultaneously, coordinating effectively with customers, union field labor, subcontractors, and vendors through project meetings and on-site engagement.
    • Issue and manage vendor and subcontractor purchase orders, develop and maintain project schedules, and ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
    • Own the financial performance of assigned projects, from budget establishment through final billing and closeout.
    • Serve as the primary coordination and execution representative for Cox Service in both internal and external meetings, ensuring clear alignment across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Field Supervision.
    • Ensure all project deliverables are completed on schedule, within cost targets, and aligned with customer expectations.
    • Enforce and promote compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements, in coordination with field supervision and company safety leadership.
    • Communicate project status, risks, and financial performance clearly and proactively to customers, the Operations Manager, and Sales and Service Leadership.
    • Identify and proactively manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to protect schedule, margin, and customer relationships.
    • Manage scope changes and change orders in a controlled manner, ensuring proper documentation, pricing, and approval without compromising project objectives.
    • Support project closeout activities, including documentation, billing completion, and lessons learned.
    Qualifications & Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience, preferably within HVAC, mechanical, or service-based construction environments.
    • Proficiency using BuildOps (or similar service/project management platforms) for material purchasing, labor tracking, project billing, and accounts receivable.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead coordination meetings and represent the company professionally.
    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with clients, field personnel, and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities without losing control of financial or operational details.
    Benefits:
    • Competitive salary with yearly bonuses, merit raises, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
    • Paid vacation, personal days, holidays, and comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
    • Professional development through industry training, in-office learning, and educational opportunities.
    • Additional benefits including company-paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and office perks like snacks, cold brew coffee on tap, company swag, and more!
