Job Description

Manage commercial construction projects from award through completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Lead project planning and preconstruction activities. Coordinate efforts between owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors. Manage subcontractor procurement, contracts, and project buyout activities. Review and administer RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Monitor project costs and financial performance. Identify and mitigate project risks to maintain schedule and budget objectives. Ensure compliance with safety standards, specifications, and contract requirements. Conduct project meetings and communicate project updates to stakeholders. Oversee project closeout, punch list completion, and turnover documentation. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager - Mixed Commercial should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Tenant improvement experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, and building systems.
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and cost controls.
  • Ability to effectively lead subcontractors and project teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Tilt-wall construction experience is a plus.
