Description

Project Manager, ERP Implementation

Growing Engineering & Manufacturing Company | Kent, WA (Onsite) | 12+ Month Contract with Opportunity to Convert | $60–75/hr, DOE

Our client is a fast-growing engineering and manufacturing company in Kent, WA, replacing its legacy system with Epicor ERP. They need an onsite Project Manager on a 12+ month contract, with the opportunity to convert, to own the company’s side of that implementation and to manage other projects that support customer deliverables and internal systems.

This is a hands-on role with real visibility. You’ll work directly with leadership, Epicor’s implementation team, and the people who build and ship the product.

How your time breaks down

  • ~40% Epicor ERP implementation: Own the plan from kickoff through go-live and stabilization. You’ll be the day-to-day contact for Epicor, hold both sides to their commitments, and drive readiness for data migration, configuration, testing, training, and cutover.
  • ~40% Other projects: Manage a small number of software and engineering projects tied to customer deliverables and internal systems, using Monday.com.
  • ~20% Process development: As the company continues to grow, you’ll help document, define, and refine manufacturing processes.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain the project plan and schedule in Monday, with status visible to all stakeholders
  • Coordinate subject matter experts across Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Assembly, Quality, Finance, and Shipping
  • Plan workload so the implementation moves forward without overloading the team or disrupting active customer work
  • Manage change requests and scope questions with Epicor, and escalate cost and schedule impacts
  • Lead data cleanup, validation, and user acceptance testing with process owners
  • Support training, communications, and adoption for users moving off the legacy system
  • Track risks, issues, and budget, and report regularly to leadership and the steering group

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, MIS, operations planning, or a related field
  • 3–10 years of project management experience, including at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP, sales order management, production scheduling, inventory control, and procurement (a supply chain background is a strong plus)
  • Advanced MS Project, Excel, and Word skills
  • Monday.com experience, or the aptitude to pick it up quickly
  • Strong planning, analytical, and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication and a positive, team-oriented approach to solving problems

Nice to have

  • ERP implementation or migration experience, especially Epicor
  • PMP certification or equivalent training
  • Technology or software project backgrounds are welcome

Why this role

  • Own a company-defining ERP project from kickoff to go-live
  • Opportunity to convert to a permanent role
  • Work in a growing business where your input matters and your impact is visible
