Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Insurance Specialist in Lanham, MD. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Insurance Specialist to support insurance administration, compliance tracking, contract review, and project risk management activities. This role serves as a key liaison between project teams, vendors, subcontractors, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure insurance requirements are met and properly documented throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate has experience with insurance compliance, certificate tracking, contract administration, and project coordination in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and track insurance requirements for projects, vendors, subcontractors, and business partners
  • Collect, review, and maintain certificates of insurance (COIs) and related documentation
  • Verify insurance coverage complies with contract requirements and company policies
  • Monitor expiration dates and coordinate renewal requests with vendors and insurance providers
  • Support contract review processes related to insurance and risk management provisions
  • Maintain accurate insurance records, databases, and tracking systems
  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, legal departments, and external partners regarding insurance requirements
  • Research and resolve insurance compliance issues and documentation discrepancies
  • Support audits by providing insurance records, reports, and supporting documentation
  • Prepare insurance compliance reports and project status updates for management
  • Assist with claims administration and incident documentation as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve insurance tracking processes and operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in insurance administration, project support, contract administration, compliance, or related field
  • Experience reviewing insurance certificates and compliance documentation
  • Understanding of commercial insurance policies and risk management principles
  • Strong organizational and documentation management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting construction, engineering, utilities, manufacturing, or project-based organizations
  • Experience with contract administration and vendor compliance management
  • Knowledge of general liability, workers' compensation, professional liability, and automobile insurance requirements
  • Experience with insurance tracking software, ERP systems, or compliance platforms

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
