As a Program Supervisor, you will work within one residential group home program located in Browns Mills, NJ. The group homes serves adults with a severe and persistent mental illness who have been discharged from Ancora State Psychiatric Hospital after a minimal stay of six months

Schedule: Full-time 40 hours; Monday-Friday; On-call responsibilities

Salary: $55,372 annually

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting, training, and developing a highly motivated and effective team.
  • Works with the Director to develop financial plans and implement at the programs.
  • Provides guidance, leadership and coaching to employees and ensures timely feedback including performance appraisals.
  • Ensures that employees are aware of changes in regulations and policy and procedures.
  • Ensures physical plant meets regulatory standards and Agency expectations.
  • Conducts meetings, at minimum monthly, with employees in a group or individually.
  • Responsible for staffing of all programs to ensure appropriate level of care and services are being provided.
  • Responsible for the clinical records of all consumers served including timely treatment plans, all assessments and discharge planning. Clinical records are expected to meet Agency standards as well funding source requirements.
  • Participate in committee's as appointed internally and in the community.
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive working relationship with DMHAS representatives and other community representatives.
  • Must cooperate with all investigations, internal and externally.
  • Be available and responsible for program functioning in the absence of a Program Coordinators and/or supervisors.
  • Be available for emergency situations on a 24 -hour basis via beeper and/or cell phone

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mental Health related field plus two years' experience in mental health field; or
  • Active RN license plus two years of experience in mental health field;
  • Supervisory and residential experience preferred but not required.
  • Valid Drivers License in good standing.
