GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Program Assistant provides administrative and logistical support for projects, initiatives, and programs to the Cleveland-based Program Ministers. Participate as part of the Administrative Support Network for communal support across the ministries as necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the mission and goals of the United Church of Christ across all programs and ministries.
Assists in drafting, editing and disseminating written communications and in responding to email and other correspondence for the team.
Conducts research and provides support to program ministers related to projects and programmatic efforts.
Arranges travel reservations and organizes travel logistics for program ministers.
Maintains and manages the program ministers’ calendar and coordinates and submits content for the team calendar to inform others of activities and whereabouts.
Maintains data management and filing for team projects/programs.
Records notes and action minutes at program team meetings and prepares briefs on key program issues, as assigned.
Compiles and disseminates program materials and documents.
Maintains accountability to administrative systems and procedures, including submitting expense reimbursements and credit card reconciliations by the deadlines.
Participates actively in staff meetings and retreats when requested
Plans, tracks, and reports on program ministers’ work in support of team coordination and synergy.
Contributes content for ministry communications and marketing materials, such as theJustice newsletter etc.
Develops and maintains professional and courteous relationships with UCC national and conference staff, community and religious partners and other constituents; serves as a positive role model by exemplifying values which are consistent with the United Church of Christ.
