Reporting to: Education Department
General Description: Santa Fe Children''s Museum is looking for fun-loving, positive-thinking individuals with experience working with children ages 0-10 years to provide engaging hands-on activities for our guests. The Program Assistant will perform a number of tasks for the education department, including preparing for special events, camps, and general programming.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Positively engage and interact with children through play at scheduled programs and activities throughout the Museum.
Assist guests by providing pertinent information regarding Museum''s mission, exhibits, programs, and services.
Sets up and cleans up program activities and spaces.
Support visiting educators and special guests, including the documentation of programming.
Assist with camp programming.
Assist with the organization of program materials, including physical supplies, storage organization, digital files, physical records, and calendars.
Create Grab n' Go kits
Attends staff meetings and training.
Stays current on Museum policies, programs, and special events.
Assists with any other special events, as needed.
Must be flexible with work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
