Position Summary: 
The Program Administrative Assistant will provide data entry and clerical duties, including the first line of contact for our clients in the senior programs, Senior Companions, Foster Grandparents and Super Neighbor.  The programs are a division of the AmeriCorps Senior programs, the federal agency improving lives, strengthening communities, and fosters civic engagement through service and volunteering.
 
Schedule: CSS is hiring for either 1) Part time, 20-25 hours per week OR 2) Full time, 30 hours per week with benefit for this position.  Depending on the candidate’s preference.
 
Duties / Responsibilities:
•Answer phones and assist clients in a professional manner.
•Update and submit timecard data for timely and accurate payments.
•Accurate filing of documents in client files.
•Audit client files to ensure compliance with funders’ requirements.
•Assist with monthly in-service training.
•Participate in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the volunteers and site visits, as needed.
•Maintain case records by guidelines and time limits, including completing case/progress notes, transferring cases, closing cases, etc.
 
Education and Experience:
•High School or equivalent
•Administrative/clerical experience.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
 
Required Skills / Abilities:
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Pass a BCI/FBI criminal background check and drug screening.
 
Work Environment: 
•Typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues.
•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•Ability to lift 15 lbs.
