    Principal Paralegal is a senior-level paralegal role responsible for managing AEG's litigation and claims portfolio, high-risk compliance and risk investigations escalated to Legal, corporate governance and records, real estate legal matters, and the Legal Department's emergency preparedness program. This role serves as a key point of contact for outside counsel and cross-functional stakeholders on sensitive, high-exposure matters, and is responsible for ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and documentation across each of these functions.

    • Lead litigation and claims management, overseeing litigation and pre-litigation matters from intake through resolution. conduct initial risk assessments and coordinate engagement of outside counsel. Monitor case activity, budgets, invoices, reserves, and reporting. Coordinate legal holds, document preservation, and discovery collection efforts. Track litigation trends and provide status reporting to Legal leadership.
    • Manage high-risk compliance and risk-related complaints and investigations escalated to Legal. Identify potential legal, regulatory, and reputational exposure. Coordinate investigations with Compliance, Risk Management, Human Resources, and operational leaders. Facilitate remediation and corrective action tracking. Manage outside counsel engagement for matters involving significant legal exposure.
    • Serve as Legal Department lead and system administrator for emergency preparedness platforms. Coordinate implementation, training, testing, and system enhancements. Support business continuity and emergency response planning activities. Monitor program compliance and documentation requirements.
    • Serve as the primary legal contact for landlord matters, lease-related issues, notices, disputes, and escalations. Coordinate review and resolution of real estate matters with internal stakeholders and outside counsel. Support the maintenance of real estate legal records and documentation.
    • Prepare, draft, maintain, and distribute corporate resolutions. Maintain corporate officer and director records, including officer slates and organizational charts. Coordinate annual and periodic corporate governance activities. Maintain board records, meeting materials, resolutions, minutes, and governance documentation. Support board and committee activities and ensure corporate records are complete, accurate, and audit ready. Maintain corporate books and official records in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
