Compensation: $170,000 - $200,000 Base + Bonus Potential

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Active license to practice law in Texas
  • 5+ years of law firm litigation experience
  • Strong civil litigation experience
  • Superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Significant experience drafting substantive motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
  • Ability to manage assignments independently while working collaboratively within a litigation team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Employment litigation experience
  • Wage and hour litigation experience
  • Class action or collective action experience
  • Appellate briefing or appellate litigation experience
  • Background handling complex commercial disputes

The Practice

This role sits at the center of a busy national litigation practice handling sophisticated employment matters, including:

  • Wage and hour disputes
  • Collective and class action litigation
  • Appeals and complex motion practice
  • Novel and developing employment law issues
  • High-impact cases involving significant financial exposure

Attorneys collaborate closely with experienced litigators across all phases of litigation while contributing meaningful written advocacy that drives case strategy and results.


Responsibilities

Legal Research & Advocacy

  • Draft dispositive motions and oppositions
  • Prepare appellate briefs and related filings
  • Develop certification and decertification briefing
  • Research complex and emerging legal issues
  • Draft persuasive legal memoranda
  • Handle discovery-related briefing and motion practice

Litigation Strategy & Analysis

  • Evaluate legal and factual issues affecting case outcomes
  • Build litigation strategies alongside trial counsel
  • Assess risk, exposure, and settlement leverage
  • Develop case themes and argument frameworks
  • Support matters through trial and appellate proceedings

Broader Case Participation

Depending on experience and interest, attorneys may also participate in:

  • Depositions
  • Court appearances
  • Oral argument
  • Client counseling and strategy sessions
  • Case management and litigation oversight
