  • Pay Rate: $19.85 - $21.80/Hr
  • Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Alternate weekends 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the organization to patients seeking routine health testing or important diagnostic insights. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and confident throughout the collection process. The PSR II maintains a strong focus on patient confidentiality, specimen accuracy, and process excellence while supporting efficient clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment for patients and staff.
  • Draw blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established practices and procedures.
  • Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.
  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials/signature post-venipuncture to confirm proper specimen labeling.
  • Maintain required records and documentation for specimen collection and patient information.
  • Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
  • Support specimen collection activities in patient service centers, physician offices, or other assigned locations as business needs dictate.
Required Experience:
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Experience working in fast-paced healthcare or laboratory environments.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Minimum two years of experience working in a Patient Service Center environment.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environments.
  • Experience supporting specimen collection across multiple clinical locations.
Required Skills:
  • Strong phlebotomy and specimen collection skills.
  • Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in fast-paced environments.
  • Keyboard and data entry proficiency.
Preferred Skills:
  • Pediatric and geriatric blood draw experience.
  • Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and follow established procedures.
Additional Skills:
  • Clinical and forensic specimen collection procedures.
  • Patient demographic verification and specimen labeling validation.
  • Compliance with company policies, dress code, and safety standards.
  • Ability to travel between Patient Service Center or in-office phlebotomy locations if required.
  • Strong attention to detail in specimen handling and documentation.
