    Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney

    Compensation

    $225,000 – $390,000+

    Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 100 firm in Dallas.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an intellectual property attorney interested in sophisticated patent prosecution, patent portfolio development, IP counseling, and technology-related matters for innovative companies, emerging businesses, and established industry leaders.

    Ideal Background

    2–6 years of patent prosecution or related intellectual property experience

    • Experience preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications

    • Experience developing and managing sophisticated patent portfolios

    • Experience responding to USPTO office actions and communicating with patent examiners

    • Experience advising clients regarding patentability, patent strategy, freedom-to-operate, and intellectual property portfolio development

    • Technical background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, physics, or another relevant technical discipline is highly desirable

    • Experience working with technologies involving software, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, electronics, semiconductors, medical technology, or other emerging technologies is a plus

    USPTO registration strongly preferred

    • Ability to understand complex technologies and translate technical concepts into sophisticated legal strategies

    • Strong patent drafting, legal writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent client service and communication skills

    • Ability to manage multiple patent matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

    • Strong academic credentials

    J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

    Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted
