This is a permanent FT position. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for
implementing efficient production techniques, reducing waste and
improving overall pastry quality, ordering ingredients and coordinating
baking schedules to produce breads, cakes, pastries, bagels, and other
goods, developing new pastry recipes for seasonal menus to increase
sales and to receive positive feedback, maintaining clean and organized
kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety
regulations, enhancing customer satisfaction by creating visually
appealing and delicious pastries, training new employees on bakery
methods and procedures, supervising and mentoring junior staff members
in pastry techniques, fostering a supportive work environment and
increasing their skillsets, making sure the equipment and machinery is
in order, elevating pastry quality and consistency by training junior
staff in advanced baking techniques, engaging with customers to gather
feedback on dessert offerings, leading to menu improvements and higher
satisfaction rates, preparing dough for variety of pastries, cakes and
breads, baking consistent quality items by accurately mixing, dividing,
shaping, and proofing, monitoring temperatures of ovens, proof boxes and
other equipment, etc.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a High-School degree,
6 months of training in cookery, food preparation or related field, 9
months of employment experience as pastry chef, chef, head cook is also
required.This position requires experience in bakery methods and
procedures, baking, cooking, cooking equipment, sanitation, and hygiene
in catering establishments. Experience in training bakers. Knowledge of
Cooking machinery and its operation.
Salary:$53,123 / Year
