    Description


    Prestigious global firm is seeking a Paralegal to support the trial team in all phases of litigation for the firm's Texas offices in Austin, Dallas, and Fort Worth.  The day-to-day duties includes drafting notices, summonses; administer and oversee document inspections at the request of counsel; research and analyze case law;  Shepardize cases and cite check briefs; communicate with court personnel regarding the status of cases; electronically edit documents relating to litigation; proofread documents to be filed in court. Currently they work 4 days in the office/ 1-day remote hybrid schedule.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Prepare, organize, and file documents and correspondence with the court

    • Conduct legal research

    • Update and maintain docketing and filing as well as internal databases

    • Prepare witness and other materials for case preparation

    • Organize relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation

    • Prepare for depositions, including the preparation of discovery requests; facilitate service of process and coordinating examinations before trial (EBT)

    • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs

    • Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.)

    • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes

    • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices

    • Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests

    • Assist between trial teams and internal/external third parties; conducts investigations; engage in on-line legal research; develop pleadings; prepare motions and other pertinent legal documents/forms for review by assigned attorney; assist in discovery

    • Accurately and consistently track and record all related billable and non-billable time;

    • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    5 years of complex litigation experience with an emphasis on large case management, trial preparation, document production, discovery and trial exhibits.
