Prestigious global firm is seeking a Paralegal to support the trial team in all phases of litigation for the firm's Texas offices in Austin, Dallas, and Fort Worth. The day-to-day duties includes drafting notices, summonses; administer and oversee document inspections at the request of counsel; research and analyze case law; Shepardize cases and cite check briefs; communicate with court personnel regarding the status of cases; electronically edit documents relating to litigation; proofread documents to be filed in court. Currently they work 4 days in the office/ 1-day remote hybrid schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prepare, organize, and file documents and correspondence with the court
Conduct legal research
Update and maintain docketing and filing as well as internal databases
Prepare witness and other materials for case preparation
Organize relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation
Prepare for depositions, including the preparation of discovery requests; facilitate service of process and coordinating examinations before trial (EBT)
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs
Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.)
Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices
Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
Assist between trial teams and internal/external third parties; conducts investigations; engage in on-line legal research; develop pleadings; prepare motions and other pertinent legal documents/forms for review by assigned attorney; assist in discovery
Accurately and consistently track and record all related billable and non-billable time;
Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years of complex litigation experience with an emphasis on large case management, trial preparation, document production, discovery and trial exhibits.
